OH&S MANAGEMENT SYSTEM CERTIFICATION
ISO 45001 was established in March 2018, and it is an ISO standard for management systems of occupational health and safety(OH&S). Its goal is the reduction of occupational injuries and diseases.
The standard is based on OHSAS 18001:2007 standard and is set to replace the existing standard over three years. The new standard occupational health and safety management system requirement was set up to combat the problem of occupations injuries and diseases for employers and the wider economy to prevent losses from early retirements, staff absence, rising insurance premiums etc.
The standard was developed by a committee of occupational health and safety experts, and it follows other generic management system approaches.
